The Founder
"I was bullied as a kid. Started training martial arts at 12. Played football for 19 years. Boxed Golden Gloves. Trained in everything from Muay Thai to BJJ for over 40 years."
— JAMES B. JEFFERSON, FOUNDER
When James started covering the UFC and Bellator for media and MTV, he saw the same thing everywhere — disrespect, poor behavior, the traditional values of martial arts being lost. He sat with legends like Ron Van Clief and Dan "The Beast" Severn and asked: how do we fix this?
That conversation became Warrior Island. That question became the Tiki Code. Today, with 300,000+ comics sold, 36 live events produced, three seasons of television, a Hollywood movie in development, and over 4,000 dojo affiliates worldwide, we are building a universe where the warrior spirit meets genuine social impact.
Along the way, James defended his intellectual property against the UFC and BBC — and won. This isn't a brand playing dress-up. This is a movement built by someone who lived it.

HOW IT WORKS
Warriors are discovered through tryouts held around the world — real fighters with real stories.
Fans watch live competitions and vote for their favorite athletes on our custom voting platform.
Top fighters are voted into the show. We document their lives and training as they prepare for the Island.
On the Island, warriors train under the Grand Masters and compete to become the Ultimate Island Warrior — and carry the Tiki Code back to the world.

HOLLYWOOD BOUND
At the Action Martial Arts Convention in Atlantic City, Sheldon Lettich — the writer behind Bloodsport, Lionheart, and Rambo III — stopped at the Warrior Island booth. He read the comics, watched the footage, and said: "I want to write this movie." Together with George Saunders (Only the Strong, The Hard Corps), they are now writing the Warrior Island Movie.
With the feature film, an animated series, and a video game already in the pipeline, the Warrior Island Universe is expanding from comics and television into a full-scale entertainment franchise.

OUR MISSION
The Tiki Code is made up of ten character traits that empower warriors to fight bullying and create a better, safer world. Our programs and products are designed to make a huge difference in martial arts dojos, school systems, and youth sports.
"The Warrior Island series is an exceptional tool to draw in youth to the values we need to instill in today's generation and the ones to follow. The code and tikis are a road map to learning how to be a confident and kind person. This series uses the power of good storytelling and beautiful graphic art to reach today's youth and truly teach them the steps to becoming stronger, mentally and physically."

"On our gravestone there are two dates — the day we were born and the day we die. But the most important thing is the dash in between. What did we do to make a positive difference in this world?"
